Bucks Vision held the ceremony at Aylesbury Town Hall, with outgoing mayor, Councillor Ranjula Takodra, on hand to present certificates and prizes to winners and nominees.

The Community Champion award was won by Tom Wood of Halton Tennis Club for his work to improve visually impaired tennis.

Bucks Vision said: “Our members have loved the tennis sessions.

“It has given them a chance to get out and socialise while getting some exercise in a friendly and structured environment.”

Also nominated for this award was Roger Kirk, who is involved in the Simply Walks programme in Bedgrove and helped integrate some of Bucks Vision’s members into the group.

Aylesbury based Pickup and Scott solicitors were nominated for the Company Best Practice award.
