Pupils from Ickford Combined School have won a video competition to promote winter safety.
The Year Six class at the school produced a rap song about driving safely during the winter.
Dawn Basnett, assistant headteacher at Ickford School said: “It was a complete class effort.
“The children really enjoyed working together to write the poem, create the actions and make the props.
“We were delighted to win and we are now looking forward to seeing the new Buckinghamshire gritter on the roads.”
The competition was run by Bucks County Council and as a result of their victory pupils from the school ill get a chance to name one of the county’s two new gritters.
The joint runners-up in the competition were Elmhurst School in Aylesbury and Dropmore Infant School on the Bucks/Berkshire border.
Mark Shaw, cabinet member for transportation at Bucks County Council said: “It is clear that huge effort went into all these entries and I am delighted that schools were eager to get involved and help us out with our winter plans.”
