Unemployed people have been given a New Years boost in their search for work after it was announced they can travel for free to job interviews and training.

The ‘bus for jobs’ scheme is being supported by Arriva, Carousel and First, as well as bus services contracted by Transport for Bucks.

Bucks County Council’s Peter Hardy said: ‘This a great New Year scheme enabling job seekers to travel to interviews and training without extra costs.”

The offer lasts during January for people who are 18 years old and have been unemployed for more than three months. Passengers must have a Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount Card.
