KIDS favourite Peppa Pig was the main attraction of the day as a £270,000 pre-school building was officially opened.
The popular TV character was joined by Woody from Toy Story as the refurbished Long Crendon Pre-School in Chilton Road was unveiled.
Thame Mayor Adam Buckland accompanied the figures on the day and said: “This is a really fabulous space which, along with the fantastic staff, is truly a state of the art facility.
“It will benefit not only the immediate village but the wider community as a whole.”
And the facility went down well with the onlooking parents, as mother and committee member Sophie Price said: “From a parents perspective we are incredibly lucky to have such a facility here.
“We all know the importance of the first five years of their lives so to have this here is brilliant and my little boy for one loves it.”
A whole host of activities were arranged for the ceremony, including a bubble maker, who created bubbles taller than the children.
There was also lots of stalls for the kids to get involved in, such as cooking and craft stands.
Miss Price said: “Everybody had a really fun time, there was so much laid on for the kids which was absolutely wonderful.
“And it was a relaxing time for the parents as well as they could catch up with some old friends.”
In total, the refurbishment took six months to complete.
