A third attempt is to be made to hold the annual Thame duck race.
The ninth race of its kind has already had to be called off twice because of extreme wet weather in June and July, but organisers are hoping it will be third time lucky.
More than 2,000 ducks are expected to be released tomorrow (September 9) into the River Thame from the bridge on the old Long Crendon Road.
They will race down the quarter-mile course to the finishing post.
Prize vouchers of £50, £30 and £20 will be awarded for the first three ducks to reach the finish.
The cost to sponsor a duck is £2 and the proceeds will be donated to nearby charities and worthy causes.
