A THIRD stage has now been confirmed at Thame’s Music in the Park after organisers were overwhelmed with performers applying for a slot.
More than 80 acts applied to be part of the show triggering the decision to expand to a third stage.
It will be located within the ale tent and will provide entertainment to those wishing to grab a drink.
Organiser Steve Gunn said: “We have just had a fantastic response to the request for bands to come forward, which is really pleasing, especially as it is the first time we are doing this.
“So now we are putting on a third stand which is more than we expected at the start.
“We thought we could fill two stands but we didn’t expect the amount of interest we have had.”
The line-up for next week’s show was also finalised this week, with the tribute acts to Madness and Elton John leading the way.
The SkaSouls and Ultimate John will be the main attractions, although local talent like the Michael Lee Band, pictured, will be shown throughout the day.
All three stages will include performances from Thame artists and those from the surrounding area, as well as bands from further afield.
The show takes place on Sunday, May 8 – tickets cost £6 for adults
