Tesco are holding an exhibition to showcase their controversial plans to build a new store in Thame.
The exhibition takes place at the Barns Centre in Church Road today (Friday) from 12noon to 6pm and tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am to 4pm.
Tesco’s corporate affairs manager Jack Pearson said: “We’ve developed exciting plans that will allow us to utilise the site on Howland Road for both a Tesco store and employment use.
“We would encourage anyone who is interested in our plans, to come along, talk to our team and ask any questions they may have.”
The new store is set to offer ranges of food, groceries and household goods.
An application is expected to be submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council early next year and it is hoped the store will create 200 new jobs.
As part of the proposed development, new pedestrian and cycle routes will be created to improve links between the store and adjoining residential areas around the town centre.
