CBeebies television presenter Dave Benson Phillips wants everyone to bring their favourite teddy bear and something to shake or bang to a concert featuring Aylesbury Symphony Orchestra.
The popular personality, who has also appeared on several BBC and ITV shows, is compering the event at the Sir Henry Floyd School on Sunday (June 30) which starts at 3.30pm and promises to be a huge amount of fun.
A central feature of the programme will be Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra which takes a simple theme and rewrites it to illustrate the characters of the various instruments in the orchestra, with commentary provided by Dave.
The programme also includes the Can-Can from Orpheus in the Underworld, Strauss’s Thunder and Lighting Polka and Radetsky March and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
The orchestra will be conducted by Ben Palmer and the leader is Mark Warner.
Tickets cost £6.50 for adults, £3 for children and are available from Aylesbury Tourist Office in the King’s Head, Market Square or 01296 330559.
They are also available on the door.
