The senior research chef at Haddenham-based McCormick UK Steve Love (pictured left) will have a demo spot at Saturday’s Thame Food Festival.
McCormick UK is the home of Schwartz’ herbs, spices and seasonings and is the headline sponsor of this year’s festival.
Steve said: “I find food flavours, and the different spices in world food absolutely fascinating.
“You never stop discovering and learning. I can’t wait to share it all with the people at Thame Food Festival. Last year was brilliant and this year looks as if it’s going to be more exciting than ever.”
Steve’s demo spot will be in the festival’s cookery theatre at 12.15pm with senior culinary developer Ian Craddock.
Steve joined the Royal Navy at 17 and trained as a chef. In that time he cooked for up to 2,500 people and also served on the Royal yacht Britannia, even appearing in the TV documentary All The Queen’s Cooks.
After leaving to take on jobs as a head chef and working for multi-national companies, Steve joined McCormick UK in 2006.
His job involves food development for blue chip companies and he travels widely through Europe, the Middle East and Africa researching food styles and trends for his role in the development of the McCormick global flavour forecast.
