A PAIR of Thame squash players are gearing for their attempt to break the world record for the longest competitive match.

Guy Fotherby and Nick Wynd are aiming to complete more than 31 hours against each other as they try to break a Guinness World Record currently standing at 31 hours and two minutes.

The marathon men will only be allowed a five minute break every hour and need to be in constant competition to break the record.

Guy and Nick are raising money for Cancer Research UK and Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children.

The pair are hosting their attempt at Racquets in Thame on January 13.
