A memory walk to honour people who have suffered from Alzheimer’s disease was launched at Waddesdon Manor yesterday.
Margaret Morgan-Owen, pictured above, who lives in the village and is a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Society, recited a poem about a summer holiday with her late husband, Alasdair Mckenzie, who had dementia and died 18 months ago, aged 79.
The poem is from a collection entitled Gloriously Us.
The Alzheimer’s Society’s Waddesdon Memory Walk will take place on Saturday September 21 and will be started by actress Sue Holderness.
Walkers can choose a gentle 2km or a more challenging 10km route.
