Senior citizens tea goes down a storm

The Thame Rotary Club Senior Citizens’ Tea was hosted by John Hampden Primary School this Year.

About 75 senior citizens listened to the children singing and playing instruments on Friday.

Tyrell Gillman, community and vocational chairman at the Rotary Club, said: “The school’s children and staff did an outstanding job presenting a most wonderful show.”

Ladies from the Rotary Inner Wheel did all the food which was served to the guests by the children of the school. Some of the conversation between the young and the ‘not-so-young’ where a delight to listen to, particularly as quite a few of the ‘not-so-young’ had, in their time, been a pupil at the school.
