A SPECIAL schools challenge went off with a bang at the Oxford Gun Company as 170 children competed for the top prize.
Pupils travelled to Oakley from all across the country to take part along with some children from Ashfold School.
Each pupil had 50 shots at the clay targets, with a youngster from Banbury managing to hit with every shot.
Organiser David Florent said: “It was the biggest schools challenge we have had and it went really well.”
There was also the added attraction of welly wanging this year, with some children managing distances of 25 feet.
