A number of schools in Aylesbury and the surrounding area have announced that they will be closing on Thursday as a result of a teachers’ strike.
Members of the National Union of Teachers and the National Association of School Masters and the Union of Women Teachers are taking industrial action across Bucks in a row over pay, pensions and conditions.
In Aylesbury, the Grange, the Thomas Hickman School and William Harding Combined School will be completely closed.
Stone CofE Combined School will also be closed.
Partial closures have been announced by the John Colet School, St Mary’s CofE School, Waddesdon CofE School, Aylesbury Vale Academy and the Mandeville School.
Aylesbury Grammar School and Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School have said they will be open to all students.
