Retail giant Sainsbury’s says delays to its plans are as a result of some additional information required about the application by the district council.
A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “Our proposals for Thame are being considered by South Oxfordshire District Council.
“Following dialogue with the council’s planning team, we are currently in the process of providing additional detailed information relating to scheme design and parking.
“This is normal procedure for a planning application of this size and does not change the main elements of our proposals.”
Previously, The Gazette was told the application for a new supermarket on the Cattle Market site would not be decided before July 18.
