A VINTAGE tractor was pulled through the streets of Thame in a bid to raise money for a sports team.
The Princes Risborough Risborough Young Farmers Club pulled the vehicle right up the High Street as the made more than £250 to fund buy new boots for their tug of war team.
Club secretary Sally Lucas, 17, from Towersey, said: “We need the boots for our girls’ team, who have got through to the national finals of the YFC tug of war competitions at the Newbury Show on September 17.
“There are very strict regulations about tug of war boots, we are not allowed any sort of grip on the sole and need metal plating to help with the digs; proper boots also offer really good ankle support,”
The tractor was loaned by Steve Foley, from Chinnor, a former Princes Risborough young farmer and a member of the club advisory committee.
