Retiring Aylesbury College principal Pauline Odulinksi has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Mrs Odulinski, 61, received an OBE for her 26 years of service at the college which began when she first joined as maternity cover. She is set to leave at the end of the academic year and has played a key role in setting up the new Bucks University Technical College which opens in September.

Haddenham parish councillor David Truesdale has been honoured with an MBE for his role as co-founder of the Leys Community Development Initiative.

Retired Aylesbury police officer Ian Kerr has received an MBE for his services to motorcycle safety while Hilary Reid, of Princes Risborough, has been awarded an BEM for her services to the community in Great Hampden.
