Four friends will take on a triathlon to raise money for the Iain Rennie Hospice.

Emma Redding, of Shabbington, will swim, cycle and run in memory of her late mother Sue Walker, who died of cancer in June, aged 65.

Her three friends, Becca Patterson, Nicky Coates Veasey and Lisa Elkins, all of Chinnor, were all close to Mrs Walker.

Emma said: “The Iain Rennie nurses cared for mum in the way that any daughter would want for her beloved mother and gave my father fantastic support.

“Both of them looked forward to the nurses arriving.”

The quartet will be taking on the triathlon at Dorney Lake this Sunday.

Emma added: “All the ther team members were friends of my mum and have fond memories of her.

“We are not natural athletes, but thinking of the money we are raising (for charity) will give us that extra push.”
