STAFF and pupils from a Thame primary school ran around the playing fields as part of an unusual English lesson.
The idea was to practice writing newspaper articles.
Year 4 student Poppy McEwan wrote the following report:
Pyjama race at Barley Hill
Teachers and the Year 4 children at Barley Hill wore the unusual outfits of their pyjamas at school as they were challenged to run around their field for an English lesson.
It began with the children getting changed into their colorful pyjamas before walking out quietly to the field to do the warm up. Class teacher Miss Jeffcutt started the race and the children began to run, while a few jogged.
Some children were on their fifth lap before the teachers joined in and most of them managed to complete at least six laps before lying on the floor.
Year 4 pupil Poppy McEwan said: “I think that people wanted to do more laps and wanted to do that again, I definitely wanted to do more.”
