A pensioner was seriously injured as he walked along a Thame road on Monday, and police want to hear from witnesses.

At around 4.15pm, a white Volkswagen Transporter Van was travelling on the A418 towards Oxford when it collided with a 69-year-old male pedestrian on the Thame Road junction with Mill Road in North Weston.

The man was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

PC Kevin Crick from Abingdon Roads Policing said: “We urgently require anyone with information that may help us with our investigation to contact us. If you witnessed the collision I would ask you to contact me at Abingdon Roads Policing via the Police Enquiry Centre on the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101”.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting URN 846 of 12/10.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
