Waddesdon resident Barry Cooper has pledged to put more bobbies on the beat, improve crime detection rates, deliver faster response times and establish clearer communications between the police and victims of crime.

Mr Cooper, 35, said he will ‘put personal preferences and priorities aside’ and be the servant of people, not a Westminster party. He said tackling anti-social behaviour and raising awareness of the consequences of crime are priorities.

He said: “I will do everything possible to deliver the policing that people say they want.”

He has no law enforcement experience, but says he has ‘fresh ideas and common sense’ and will bring in people with expertise.
