THE Oakley pantomime proved to be a great success at the weekend with more than 280 people turning out to be entertained.

Everybody involved in the Boar of Bernwood was from the village and there were dances from children at the beginning of each scene.

Admin manager Liz Ashley said: “Everybody who came enjoyed it and some of them recommended it to others which meant we were able to sell out on Saturday and Sunday.”

There were three performances of the show which is based around a true story where a boar was causing havoc in the forest, upsetting the king.
