A paedophile’s sentence which was due to be heard in Scotland yesterday, has been delayed.
Richard Tattam, 45, from North Marston, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two young girls, one as young as nine years old.
He was due to be sentenced at Stranraer Sheriff Court yesterday but it has been adjourned until April 22.
But background reports needed for the sentencing to take place were not provided in time.
He bought the victims gifts including a nipple ring and one of the offences only came to light when a doctor noticed self-harming marks on one of the victim’s legs.
Tattam moved to Scotland in 2002 as a BT engineer and the abuse started a couple of years later.
He moved back to North Marston after being arrested last year and had been working in the village as a gardener.
