A GOLF club near Thame raised more than £8,000 for Children in Need.
The Oxfordshire hosted a charity day last Friday with each of the 92 participants’ green fees being donated to the charity.
The Oxfordshire encouraged both members and non-members to participate in this special event, and a total of 23 teams enjoyed playing on the world-renowned championship course while contributing to a valuable charitable cause.
After a day on the green, participants enjoyed a three-course dinner followed by a prize presentation. Tom Varndell, the winger from London Wasps, also attended the evening in support of the charity and drew the winning entry for some of the prizes.
There was also a charity auction which helped to raise further funds for BBC Children in Need.
