AN acclaimed author visited youngsters at a secondary school in Thame this week.

Robert Muchamore, author of teenage novel collection Cherub, spoke to pupils at Lord Williams’s Lower School on Tuesday.

Robert gave a talk to students in Years 7 and 8, and carried out a question and answers session.

He then signed copies of his book The Recruit.

The author started writing the Cherub novels because his nephew in Australia could not find any novels that he liked reading.

He tried to write novels that he would have enjoyed reading when he was an adolescent, a time when he remembers being too old for children’s novels but not old enough to read adult novels.

Robert has also written The Henderson Boys series of books.
