Member of the Jubilee Players Jan Tunley said: “This is a new venture. We are hoping it will be the start of an ongoing annual event that will attract more and more Bucks amateur dramatic groups, until we have a thriving drama network across the county.

“We recently contacted half a dozen other amateur dramatic groups in the area and asked if they would like to get together with us to produce a festival of one-act plays

“There will be other benefits to setting up a Bucks drama group, as we will be able to call on one another when we have difficulties – such as with props or sick actors – and need someone to help out with a production. If all goes well, it will grow. It’s an exciting step forward to start linking up across the county.”

The Playfest will take place in Bierton on Friday, June 22 and Saturday 23.
