A NEW clothing store has opened which is helping to keep shoppers in Thame, says its owner.

Isabella’s Closet on the town’s high street aims to provide clothing for all different types of women, from young girls who would otherwise visit other towns with high street stores, to larger women with a new plus size range.

Owner of the shop, Marie Crawley, said the response to the store so far has been fantastic.

“We’ve had a lot of people coming in saying that our shop is exactly what the town needed – as there are no high street shops in Thame. So far we’ve done really, really well.

“Customers have even said to us that as a result they haven’t had the need to travel into other towns such as Aylesbury or Oxford for their shopping.

“The idea of us being able to cater for a wide range of women has meant that money is being spent in Thame.

“They don’t just spend it with us – the ladies who shop here will also go elsewhere, such as for a coffee or a bite to eat while they’re in town.

“We’re also aiming to have new stock in store every week, to keep it fresh for every time people come in.”
