A HOMELESS eight-month-old tabby cat is thriving in her new home after being featured in the Thame Gazette.

Daphne appeared in the Blue Cross appeal back in March and a new owner came forward almost immediately.

Gina Midgelow and her partner Giles Hinkin, who live next to the centre in Lewknor stepped up and gave Daphne and her sister Flo the home they deserved.

Gina, who has renamed the kitten Izzie, said: “They are really playful and spend all day chasing each other around the house – they are real bundles of fun.

“At the end of the day they like to curl up cuddling each other and go to sleep.

“They are a great addition to our family and they are there to greet you when you come through the door.”

“I can’t think of a better welcome home.”
