MUSIC in Elms Park will return next year after the town council agreed to allow the popular event to continue.
This year was the first time the park was ever used for such an event and it proved to be an overwhelming success, raising more than £7,000.
Organiser Alison Champken-Woods sent a letter to The Thame Gazette thanking all who attended.
She wrote: “I just want to thank you for all your efforts to make Music in the Park such a wonderful day, it far exceeded our expectations.
“When Friends of Elms Park was formed back in 2006 the intention was to raise the profile of the park with the residents of Thame, increase the usage of the park and if possible to raise money to improve the park. Hopefully you will agree with me that we certainly met all of those criteria.”
