A 40-year-old man from Aylesbury arrested on suspicion of murder and a 37-year-old woman from the area arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been bailed until Friday.

They were arrested in connection with the death of 44-year-old Darrell Farnham, who was found dead at his Belgrave Road home shortly after 10.45pm on Sunday.

Mr Farnham was shot through the body with a crossbow and died at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate at the scene today and believe other people may be involved in the incident.

Investigating officer Det Supt Chris Ward said: “We are still building a picture of the events that led to Darrell’s death.

“If anyone saw or heard anything or knows anything about this incident then they need to come forward and speak to us.

“Once again I would like to reassure the community that we do not believe this was a random incident and is isolated.”

Local police commander Supt Olly Wright said: “Our neighbourhood teams will continue to carry out patrols in the area and I would urge anyone with concerns to approach them and address these with them.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
