A group offering self-defence advice to young people has been given a £2,000 grant by Aylesbury Town Council.

Neil Axe and Graham Cadle from Master Axe’s Foundation accepted the cheque from Councillors Jenny Puddefoot and Tuffail Hussain at Aylesbury College, where the pair were offering advice as part of student safety week.

As well as the college seminars, the foundation has recently provided a ‘MASK Motivational Training’ class to long-term unemployed teenagers at Aylesbury’s Jobcentre.

Based in the Masters Of Combat Academy in Rabans Close, the group has a martial arts facility that provides small classes for people of all ages.

The foundation’s youth programme aims to help teenagers that are suffering problems with their behaviour at school or who may be at risk of getting in trouble with the law.
