ALL sorts of mad hats were on display on Saturday as villagers in Kingston Blount celebrated their street fair.
The extravagant designs were made by children at local primary schools for the Royal Wedding and prizes were given out at the fair.
But this was just a side show to what turned out to be a very successful day.
More than £3,000 was raised through stalls, auctions and barn dances, which will go to the Aston Rowant Primary School and Chinnor Community Swimming Pool.
Helper Jenny Smith said: “It was an excellent day – we may only be a small community but we still managed to raise a lot of money.”
