UPDATE: Arrests after gang armed with samurai sword attack people in Wendover
Four men have been arrested after people were injured with a samurai sword and mugged in Wendover.
The men, two aged 16 and two aged 17, were all from Luton and have been bailed until April 6.
The first victim was attacked after getting out of a red taxi in Wendover High Street, close to the Co-operative supermarket.
He was assaulted by four black men before managing to break free and run to a nearby pub.
Later on two other victims were attacked and threatened with a samurai sword. The group eventually ran off with one of the people’s wallets and iPod.
All three victims suffered minor injuries and one received a cut to the neck in the incident on February 8 at around 11.50pm.
The gang were all wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
Investigating officer, DC Justin Harris said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents or who may know the offenders. We are particularly interested in identifying the driver of a red taxi that spoke to the first victim who then got into his taxi.”
Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident should contact DC Justin Harris at Aylesbury police station via the 24-hour non-emergency number, 101.
