Two teenagers were robbed of their phones and a handbag in a late night attack in Ceely Road, Aylesbury.

The 17-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were confronted at 3.30am on Sunday by one man when they were walking along the road at the junction with Old Stoke Road.

He grabbed the phone the man was holding before pushing the girl to the floor, stealing her mobile phone and handbag and running off towards Chestnut Crescent, where he was joined by another man.

The girl cut her knees after being pushed over.

The robber is black, about 17 years old, between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 9ins tall and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark grey hooded top with the hood pulled low over his face.

Police released details of the attack on Wednesday and PC Lucy Hale said: “I am keen to speak to the driver of the taxi who picked the couple up near Mendoza, High Street, and also the driver of the taxi that picked up the couple after they were robbed.

“I would also like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious or saw the offender in the area at the time to come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Hale via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
