Runaway prisoner caught by police helicopter in Stoke Mandeville
Police arrested a runaway prisoner in Stoke Mandeville last night (Tuesday).
The helicopter and a ‘heavy presence’ of police managed to capture the man at 7pm in Meadow Park.
The man is being questioned by officers after failing to return to HMP Springhill in Grendon Underwood when on day release in High Wycombe.
Twitter was full of people asking what was going on with some even suggesting the man was carrying a knife or a gun.
