Ruby finally safe, sound and at home

Ruby went missing just before Christmas

A CUTE pooch which went missing just before Christmas, provoking a heart-felt plea from its young owner, has been found safe and well.

Ruby, pictured right, who disappeared from Great Haseley in November, has been returned to her rightful owners after being found by police in Bedfordshire.

The six-year-old cocker spaniel, whose owner lives in Little Milton, was picked up by a police car patrol which discovered her identity when her micro chip was scanned at a rescue centre.

Ruby is now back where she belongs with owners Caroline Day and four-year-old daughter Ellie.

Meanwhile the hunt goes on for another missing dog Quigley with several recent sightings.

Eight-year-old cross breed Quigley went missing two months ago and is believed to be living in the wild in the Thame and Bledlow area.

Worried owner Holly Palker is organising a leaflet drop aimed around the area starting from The Lions of Bledlow on Saturday from 10am.
