Redwood planter to stop parking pain

Thame Town Hall

Thame Town Hall

A European Redwood Planter is to be fitted within the existing paved ring of the Millennium Circle.

The Town Council has given its approval for the purchase.

Members had hoped to install a statue or piece of street furniture in the circle, but there was not enough money available.

There has been a marked increase in the number of people using this paved area for parking, which the town council says is spoiling the town environment and starting to damage the paving.

The council hopes that the planter will enhance this area of the town, attracting people and ultimately stopping illegal parking on the area.
