Project to restore village landmark given green light

Major restoration work on the historic Wendover clock tower is set to go ahead after listed building consent was given for the work.

Upper woodwork needs replacing on the 1842 landmark.

The top third of the tower will be disassembled, including taking out the bell, with work due to take between eight and 10 weeks.
