National Trust staff have moved to new premises at the Clare Charity Centre in Saunderton.

Following relocation from Hughenden Manor, staff and volunteers who provide support services to help maintain around 100 National Trust properties in this part of the region will be using it as a hub.

Graham Deans, assistant director of operations, explained: “Our work is all about protecting special places and the new hub at Saunderton is ideally situated for getting to and from our properties in Bucks, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

“It also has great road and rail links into London where we look after a number of historic houses, parks and gardens.”

Regional director Hilary McGrady added : “Working in the Clare Charity Centre alongside other charities is a real plus and opens up the possibilities of working with partners and strengthening our local connections.

“We are also lucky enough to be overlooking glorious countryside, much of which is owned by the National Trust.”

David White, chief executive of The Clare Foundation, said he was pleased to welcome the charity to the centre.
