Murder victim found near Waddesdon formally identified as Patricia Goodband

A body found near Waddesdon during a murder inquiry has been formally identified as Patricia Goodband.

Her body was found in the grounds of her Woodham home last month.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 76 year old died from head injuries.

Two men have been charged in connection with her death.

Christopher Symons, 63, of Thackeray End, Aylesbury, has been charged with murdering Ms Goodband at her home on December 22.

Robert Taft, of Kings Close, Westcott, has been charged with perverting the course of justice by making a false statement to police. The 59 year old has also been charged with possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

The pair are due to appear at Reading Crown Court on April 22 for a plea and case management hearing.
