Students serenaded shoppers in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice and Harding House Sixth Form.

Joined by Aylesbury Mayor Ranjula Takodra, students from Harding House, Aylesbury Grammar and Aylesbury High filled Market Square on Thursday with the festive cheer of Christmas carols for the 10th consecutive year.

Half of proceeds from the bucket collections will go to the hospice, which needs to raise over £600,000 this year to keep running vital services for families affected by life-limiting illnesses.

Hospice events manager, Karen Shardlow, said: “It has been a lovely event and wonderful to see so many people stopping to have a listen.

“We must say a huge thank you to all the staff and pupils involved. The money raised will really help support local families in their time of need.”
