A man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run incident in Aylesbury.

The 29 year old, from Aylesbury, was arrested last night on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop and report an accident. He has been released on bail until March 22.

Mark Catton and his 10-year-old daughter Boe were knocked down by a dark coloured Audi as they crossed the A413 Wendover Road near the junction with Eascote Road just after midnight on Sunday. They were walking home from a family party at the time. Both are now recovering at home with leg injuries.

Police are still appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
