A popular BBC weatherman will kick start Thame’s supermarket sweep at Sainsbury’s on Saturday.

Bill Giles, who also chairs Thame Bowls Club, will open the day at 6.55am for the Thame and District Lions Club. Mr Giles’ real passion for global warming will be put on hold while the event raises money for the bowls club and Thame and District Lions Club

To buy tickets for the chance to win the two minute dash call Alan Chandler on 07831 372711.

Tickets cost £1 each and all profits will go to local charities.
