Aylesbury shooting suspects released as police hunt new leads
No Caption ABCDE
Two men arrested in connection with a shooting in Aylesbury’s Stour Close have been released without charge.
The men, aged 38 and 35, were detained and bailed in June last year following the March 28 shooting, which left Kevin Williams with gunshot wounds to his arms and head.
They were re-bailed in December but on Monday, when they were due to answer bail, both were released without charge.
Police investigations into the shooting are continuing but there are currently no suspects on bail or being held in relation to the incident.
It is thought Mr Williams may have been targeted because of his links to a London court case.
Nearly a year after the shooting, he is still receiving full-time medical care for his injuries.
Police have made a fresh appeal for anyone with information in relation to the shooting, which took place shortly before 10am, to come forward.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
