THE mother of a Thame teenager who died in a car accident has completed a skydive in his memory.

18-year-old Greg Stiles died in a car accident in May 2009 and last September Sammy Edwards, of Marsh, was sentenced to five years imprisonment for his role in causing the crash.

In August Greg’s mother, Maggie, did a skydive to raise money for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.

She originally hoped to raise around £2,500 to fund two helicopter missions however since the jump on August 14 the total is now in excess of £5,000.

A video of the day is available on YouTube, search for Maggie’s Jump for Life.

Maggie said she would like to say a huge thank you to Matt Attridge from Princes Risborough who was her instructor on the day

She said: “The skydive team looked after me really well and made the whole experience really special.

“Greg would be so pleased at the amount of money we have raised. It’s something really positive to come out of a horrendous tragedy.

“It was an amazing experience and I would definitely do it again. It is something Greg would have definitely been keen to do, so I did it for him.”

Greg would have been 21 on August 16. To donate visit www.justgiving.com/GregStiles
