Life saving community defibrillators could be installed at either end of Wendover High Street.

Wendover Parish Council has agreed to install the equipment, and have lodged a planning application with Aylesbury Vale District Council.

Two red telephone boxes would be used to house the cPad machines and the telephone inside would be removed by BT.

A defibrillator is a computerised medical device which delivers an electrical current through the chest which aims to shock the heart back into a normal rhythm allowing it to pump again. Rapid response using automated technology can significantly improve the quality of life of a survivor, as the longer the brain is starved of oxygen, the more damage that can occur.

Members of the public can have their say on the scheme by taking part in a 90 day consultation process.
