If you see police cars in Haddenham today, don’t worry – they are just filming for a TV drama!

Bentley Productions is using the picturesque location both today and tomorrow to film an episode of ITV’s Midsomer Murders drama, but locals will know this is not the first time the Bucks village has been on the big screen.

Haddenham has made an appearance in Rosemary & Thyme, Jeeves and Wooster and the Muppet Movie among others, so villagers are used to the hustle and bustle of film crews.

Churchwarden Alan Mander said: “It’s not uncommon, and happens about every year or so. We also sometimes have Midsomer Murders coach tours visit the area too.

“I can’t say too much as we’ve signed an agreement, but they will be bringing a body out of the church and there will be a hearse and mock police cars around.”
