Six mothers of twins ran Oxford’s Race for Life on Sunday in support of a fellow twin mum recently diagnosed with cancer.
All women are members of Thame Twins Club, a place where parents and expectant parents of twins can meet and share support while their children play.
Moved by one member’s recent cancer diagnosis - mum of three-year-old twins Jane James - the group decided to do something positive and donned their pink shirts and trainers to run the 5km for Jane and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Claire Harris, who runs Thame Twins Club said: “We all enjoyed ourselves and felt proud to be doing something so worthwhile.”
Twin mum Victoria Williams added: “It was mainly about feeling like we did something positive. We have raised over £700 and hope to get some more.”
The Twins Club meets every Thursday morning at the Baptist Church in Long Crendon. For futher info, contact email@example.com
