Residents at a Thame retirement complex breathed a sigh of relief this week - after their lift was finally fixed.
Some pensioners had faced a struggle to leave their flats in Sharman Beer Court, during a nine month delay in fixing the facility.
And MP John Howell, who fought to speed up the process, welcomed the news this week after being informed by Sanctuary Housing.
He said: “It is with a great sense of delight and relief that I have been told that the lift is now working. It has been a long process.
“The residents will now be glad that they can get on normally with their lives. As promised, I have kept in touch with developments.”
