Pupils past and present, staff and parents from Sir Henry Floyd School enjoyed a celebration of the Christmas season at St Mary’s Church.
The annual event, which was packed out with standing room only, included orchestral pieces, choirs, readings, instrumentals, strings, woodwind, jazz and traditional hymns.
The school’s business manager Ian Bryant said: “The feedback from all those attending was very positive. For some it heralds the real start of Christmas. It is open to all parents and students. At least 200 students participate as well as some members of staff and the chairman of the governors was in one of the choirs.
“Some of our former students, who are now at university, also came along to enjoy the evening.”
Traditional refreshments were served at the end of Wednesday’s event.
